Programs and Tours

We invite your family to explore the value of a Carmel Catholic education by attending any of our upcoming Admissions programs and visiting our sprawling 55-acre campus.
Carmel Catholic High School invites your family to explore our campus by registering for a guided tour, led by a member of the Carmel Catholic admissions team. Prospective families will journey through the halls that have welcomed generations of Corsairs, as well as receive an insider's look at the future of the Carmel campus. In-person campus tours are offered weekly on Wednesdays at 8 am and 11:45 am. All visitors must register in advance as attendance is limited. Prospective students are encouraged to visit campus as part of our Shadow Day program. Your child will be paired with a Carmel Catholic student, who will guide them through the welcoming halls of our high school as your student "shadows" them for a day. 
 
Who Can Visit With Us?
During the fall semester, the Shadow Day program is open to 8th grade students as well as prospective high school transfer students entering grades 9, 10 and 11. Starting in January, 7th grade students are welcome to shadow. 
 
What Should I Expect?
Visiting students will interact with their future classmates and teachers as they trace an academic schedule, and will enjoy a complimentary lunch from the cafeteria. Shadow Days are be offered on most school days and are held from 7:45 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
 
How do I Schedule a Visit?
Students who wish to participate in the Shadow Day program must register online at least two school days in advance of their preferred visit date.

"Big Bash" Football Game: Friday, September 23

footballAll 7th and 8th grade students are invited to join us for a home football game as the Carmel Corsairs take on the St. Viator Lions during Carmel Catholic's Homecoming game!

 

Includes:

  • Free admission to the varsity football game
  • A free slice of pizza and bottle of water
  • Access to the video game truck
  • Participants will be allowed to roam in the spectator section of Baker Stadium, directly outside the stadium, and use the video game truck parked on the stadium's perimeter.  

Timing: 

  • Activities begin: 6:30 p.m.
  • Varsity game kicks-off at 7:30 p.m.

Check-In: 

  • South end of Baker Stadium. Look for the Big Bash tent/table.
  • All participants must check-in and receive a wristband. 
  • Parents and families are welcome to attend the game by purchasing a ticket online.

Experience Carmel Catholic at Open House on November 5. During your visit, you will take a student-led tour of our campus as you learn more about our innovative programming that guides and supports individual pursuits while challenging students to embrace all they can become. Interacting with countless Carmel Catholic community members along the way, you will see firsthand the pride and enthusiasm of our students, faculty, staff and families.

Families are encouraged to register in advance via the Admissions portal. 

The Carmel Catholic High School entrance exam is offered to 8th grade students who have not tested at any other Catholic high school within the Archdiocese of Chicago. Prospective students will complete the High School Placement Test (HSPT), the results of which will be used for admission to Carmel; initial course placement in math, science, and English; and merit scholarship consideration.

As a Catholic institution, Carmel Catholic is committed to making a college preparatory education available to all who wish to share in our mission. To assist prospective families, we invite parents to attend a financial aid seminar, where information regarding the cost of attendance and financial assistance will be presented. All registration takes place in the Admissions Portal. If you need to create an account, you will be directed to complete an inquiry form which will give you access to the Admissions Portal, where you will be able to sign-up for events, and allows our admissions team to share information about important dates and life as a Corsair.

The Parent Ambassador Program provides prospective families with an opportunity to learn more about Carmel Catholic from the unique perspective of those who know it best—the Corsair community. We invite inquiring parents to learn more about upcoming social events. We also offer opportunities for families to connect with our Parent Ambassadors in a manner that is comfortable, confidential, and convenient for your family.
