Carmel Catholic High School is proud to educate residents of four counties and two states, and operates a comprehensive transportation program for families who require pick-up and drop-off services. In addition, on and off-campus parking permits are available for student drivers, as well as opportunities to carpool with Carmel Catholic classmates. Bus Program Information for 2022-2023
Carmel Catholic High School offers several bus routes, which operate daily and serve many of our local communities. Pick-up and drop-off times are listed below, along with a map link for each location. Routes are reversed in the afternoon. The round trip, year-long bus registration fee is $825 ($4.58 per day with 180 school days).

All fees are non-refundable. You may opt to pay the full amount at once or have the total amount billed to you based on your tuition arrangements. Routes are subject to cancellation due to low ridership numbers. In the event of a route being canceled, you will be refunded the full fee amount.  
 
Carmel students who reside within the boundaries of Mundelein High School are eligible for transportation using the public District 120 bus system. Students are picked up at their neighborhood bus stop and dropped off at Mundelein High School, where a Carmel Catholic High School bus will shuttle them to CCHS at 7:30 am. Immediately after school, the Carmel shuttle bus will return students to Mundelein High School, where they will utilize the District 120 bus system to return home.
Carmel Catholic students may utilize two different PACE bus routes to commute to and from school each day. The PACE 572 bus travels between the Waukegan Metra station and the College of Lake County, while the PACE 574 bus travels between the Hawthorn Shopping Center and the College of Lake County. Student Ventra Card
Families should use this form to order a Student Ventra Card. When filling out the form, please enter the school as Carmel Catholic High School, 1 Carmel Parkway, Mundelein, IL 60060 and the Homeroom Teacher as Jeff Ptacek, Room 601.
Carmel Catholic High School offers on and off-campus parking options for students who possess a valid driver's license. Parking permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, and more information regarding each program can be found below.
 
On-Campus Parking Permit
  • Available to Juniors and Seniors only
  • Cost is $250 for the 2022-23 school year
Off-Campus Parking Permit
  • Available to all eligible drivers
  • Location: Santa Maria del Popolo
  • Cost is $100 per semester, $200 per year
  • Includes Carmel shuttle bus transportation
  • Shuttle pick-up at Santa Maria: 7:40 a.m.
  • Shuttle drop-off at Santa Maria: 3:45 p.m.
