World Languages Teacher Presents at Conference in Panamá

World Languages teacher Mrs. Lori Young visited Panamá in June to present to fellow Spanish educators from across Latin America, Spain, and the United States at the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) Conference. Her presentation focused on Carmel Catholic's Spanish National Honor Society (Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica) storytelling outreach program and the connection between sharing rich cultural stories and language acquisition.

“I had a wonderful experience in Panamá,” said Mrs. Young. “It was an honor to present…I’m excited to share the rich culture of Panamá and the traditions of its Indigenous peoples with my students.”
