From scrubbing in for surgery, observing a new life entering the world, experiencing the rush of a trauma patient entering the ER, listening to inspirational medical speakers, working with patients providing empathetic care, practicing medical skills in a simulation lab, and networking with healthcare providers and local high school students, Penwasciz provided many opportunities to experience healthcare. This year, there were 306 applicants and 80+ interviews, with 37 students chosen representing 13 area high schools.
