Students Attend Science and Religion Fair at The University of St. Mary of the Lake

The Conference was held at The University of St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary. The Carmel students were joined by some 200 other high school students from across the Archdiocese of Chicago and beyond. 
 
Accompanying the students were Mr. Jeff Ptacek (CCHS - Theology Department) and Mrs. Michelle Titterton (CCHS - Science Department). At the conference, the students were able to attend seminars such as: “Is the Universe Made for Life?” (Stephen Barr, President, Emeritus Professor of Physics, University of Delaware), “Evolution and Creation: A Catholic Perspective” (Sr. Stephen Patrick Joly, O.P., Ph.D., Lansing Catholic HS), “Extraterrestrial Life and the Catholic Faith” (Tim Dolch, Assistant Professor of Physics at Hillsdale College.), and “Modern Science, the Catholic Church, and the Galileo Affair” (Cory Hayes, Professor of Philosophy and Theology, St. Joseph Seminary College) among other sessions. 
 
The students who attended are Ana Fernandez-Vant, Chloe Belanski, Matt Herron, Nathan Terselic, Dominic Magnone, Kyle Pulido, Drew Langer, Spiros Pissios, Nathan Rastovac and Maggie Phelps.
