Carmel Catholic Stands United With Those Who are in Pain, Crying for Justice and Peace

As followers of Christ, let us seek to reclaim the God-given sanctity of each person’s inviolable human dignity (Open Wide Our Hearts: The Enduring Call to Love). The Carmel Catholic Mission, rooted in the charisms and values of the Order of Carmelites and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, communicates our commitment to diversity and justice. We must never rest until this is achieved.

Please join us on Instagram Live at @corsairspray, June 3rd at 8:00 pm. Together as a community, we pray for healing and the courage to seek justice. We pray to a loving God of mercy to extend his hand so we may find peace.

God of Heaven and Earth,
you created the one human family
and endowed each person with great dignity.
Aid us, we pray, in overcoming the sin of racism.
Grant us your grace in eliminating this blight
from our hearts, our communities,
our social and civil institutions.
Fill our hearts with love for you and our neighbor
so that we may work with you
in healing our land from racial injustice.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
