At the end of September, Mr. Kozak, Mrs. LoBue, and Mrs. Phoenix represented Carmel Catholic at the second annual DELTA Summit on AI, Faith, and Human Flourishing at the University of Notre Dame.
Our faculty presented at the Summit, sharing the formation and professional development model our team developed to support teachers and students as they prepare for a world where AI is increasingly part of how we live, work, and learn. Carmel was one of just eight schools selected from 160 applications to receive the grant.
The Summit opened with Mass at Notre Dame’s Basilica of the Sacred Heart, presided over by Cardinal Blase Cupich. Following Mass, Cardinal Cupich met personally with our Carmel Catholic team to learn more about our work as a recipient of the grant. While on campus, the team also connected with Carmel Catholic graduates to hear how their Carmel education prepared them for the demands of college and how they are navigating AI in their studies at Notre Dame.
