Celebrating Milestones on Our Mission & Ministry Team

On May 30th, Donna Lane took her vows as a BVM Associate. Donna’s connection to the Sisters of the Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary spans decades, rooted in her formative years attending a BVM school, Xavier High School for Girls in St. Louis. That foundational experience left such a lasting impression that she later encouraged her own family to choose Carmel Catholic to ensure her grandchildren received that same BVM-inspired education.

On July 12th, Mike Poulos, a 1980 Carmel Catholic graduate, took his initial vows as a Third Order Carmelite. While we proudly claim Mike as our own, his commitment as a Third Order Carmelite extends to the broader mission of the Carmelite Order. His devotion lies in supporting and uplifting the Carmelite tradition wherever it takes place, championing its values across all Carmelite communities.

Both ceremonies took place in our St. Titus Brandsma Chapel, the very heart of our spiritual community.

The spirit, charism, and influence of our founders remain a vibrant, living presence in our hallways, beautifully carried forward by dedicated leaders like Donna and Mike. They are vital, essential members of our team whose dedication elevates everything we do.

Their recent steps remind us that our connection to our BVM and Carmelite tradition is not a relic of the past, but a living, relevant way to live out one's faith today. Pathways of lay association represent a contemporary chapter for our founding communities, offering anyone a path to deepen their spiritual journey. We are incredibly proud of Donna and Mike, and we are blessed by the profound faith they bring to our school community every day.
