Spanish teacher Sra. Lori Young represented Carmel Catholic High School at the 108th Annual Conference of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) in July.
As a conference presenter, Sra. Young shared strategies with Spanish and Portuguese educators from across the United States and Spain on how to use Choice Boards to differentiate language instruction. Her presentation focused on engaging students at different proficiency levels while practicing the past, present, and future tenses.
Through Choice Boards, teachers can provide students with meaningful options that allow them to demonstrate their learning in different ways while building language skills, increasing student choice, and supporting diverse learning needs.
