- Participating in international telemedical consultations
- Exploring unique epidemiological case studies led by global physicians
- Engaging in bilingual patient care settings with translators, while developing and applying medical Spanish skills
- Building cultural competence through exposure to diverse communities and ways of life
- Gaining a deeper understanding of global health systems and the challenges of access in remote areas
- Learning about sustainable development practices, including community empowerment, local collaboration, and long-term impact
“I loved actually watching consultations and seeing the root canal procedure. It was really interesting getting to see it from a different perspective in a place where things aren’t necessarily the same as they are here.” Kyla Lutzke '27
“I enjoyed learning about how smaller, less fortunate areas work to provide healthcare to the population. It was so interesting to see Global Medical Brigades find solutions besides expensive surgeries and connect with all of their patients. They did a great job explaining complicated sicknesses and cures to the patients and really involving us in the process.” Katarina Girtoescu '27
