Carmel Catholic High School Receives National Recognition from Project Lead The Way for Excellence in Career Connected Learning

Carmel Catholic High School has once again been named a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School for the 2025–26 academic year, receiving this prestigious national honor for the second year in a row and the third time in the school’s history. This recognition places Carmel Catholic among a select group of high schools across the United States committed to delivering outstanding career-connected learning through PLTW’s industry-leading programs.

The PLTW Distinguished School designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in PLTW programs. Carmel Catholic earned this honor specifically for its PLTW Engineering program, which equips students with the problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and collaborative mindset required to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Project Lead The Way is the nation’s leading provider of K–12 STEM education programs, empowering students to develop the skills and confidence to solve the world’s greatest challenges. Schools earning the Distinguished designation are identified based on rigorous criteria that evaluate student participation, academic achievement, and a demonstrated institutional commitment to making STEM education accessible to all learners.

Being named a PLTW Distinguished School for the third time — including back-to-back years — is a testament to the sustained culture of excellence that defines Carmel Catholic. It reflects not a single moment, but a consistent, school-wide dedication to preparing students for futures they have yet to imagine.

For Carmel Catholic, the PLTW Distinguished School honor is more than an external award; it reflects the values that have long defined the Corsair experience. Grounded in Catholic tradition and a deep commitment to developing the whole person, Carmel Catholic has always believed that academic excellence and faith formation go hand in hand.

As the school looks to the future, this recognition reinforces its mission: to send graduates into the world prepared not only with technical skills and academic knowledge, but with the character, compassion, and resilience to make a lasting difference.
