This unique virtual experience, which aligns with the national Advocacy Action Day event hosted by the Joint National Committee for Languages and the National Council for Languages and International Studies (JNCL-NCLIS), allowed our students to:
- Learn to cultivate strategic virtual partnerships with members of the U.S. Congress.
- Collaboratively address and advocate for vital issues impacting World Language programs across the nation.
The students focused on understanding key legislative priorities, learning how to effectively communicate the value of multilingualism, and strengthening support for language education on a federal level. This engagement provided invaluable, real-world experience in political advocacy and civic action.
