A Carmel Catholic High School Series for the General Public
We invite you to register for AI and the Things That Matter, a new series hosted by Carmel Catholic High School. This series is designed for parents, educators, professionals, students, and community members who want to understand artificial intelligence clearly, thoughtfully, and without fear.
Carmel Catholic High School is committed to becoming Lake County’s thought center for educational AI – a place where innovation, ethics, faith, and human dignity are held together. These conversations move beyond hype and anxiety to focus on what truly matters: learning, work, purpose, relationships, and the future we are choosing together.
This non-technical, practical, and hopeful series explores how AI is already reshaping our world and how we can respond wisely and responsibly. While the talks together tell a comprehensive story, each session stands on its own, allowing you to attend one or multiple events as your schedule permits. All are welcome.

About Greg Kozak
Greg Kozak comes to us with a diverse background professionally, academically, and ministerially, which makes him uniquely qualified to talk about the intersection of AI, faith, and purpose. Over a 35-year career, he served in leadership roles across the technology industry and higher education, ranging from Chief Technology Officer to Chief Innovation Officer to Chief Academic Officer. He holds degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, English, and Philosophy. And he has two advanced degrees in Theology.
He serves part-time at Carmel as a Theology and Mathematics faculty where he currently teaches introductory and advanced classes in Artificial Intelligence. He has spoken around the country on AI and faith-related topics. Beyond the classroom, Greg is actively involved in ministries that serve destitute orphans and the elderly in India, learning from children and young adults with disabilities, and building beds for children in Lake Country who don’t have them. But most importantly, he is a husband and father who understands his role in the family and the world – and that’s to shut up, listen, and follow orders, just like perfect robots will do in the future.
