This endowed scholarship memorializes the short life of Caitlin Duffy '08. Caitlin lived life to the fullest – especially her years at Carmel Catholic High School, where she explored and excelled in sports, academics, and performance and visual arts. She participated in basketball, softball, soccer and cross country. She was Vice President of her class for three years and President of Student Council her senior year. She was a member of many clubs, involved in service and her strong spirituality was an important aspect of who she was. She loved music and dance and her involvement in Street Scenes and theater allowed her to make others as happy as she was on a daily basis. Caitlin had a vivacious, sparkling and affectionate personality and considered everyone her "best friend."

After graduating from Carmel Catholic, Caitlin attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. She continued her interest in theater, service and student government. She graduated from UC Boulder in December 2012. Caitlin was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and lost her struggle with the illness on February 11, 2013. Caitlin was a beautiful blessing, full of love and joy. Her family wishes to honor Caitlin's memory by extending assistance to an incoming freshman student at Carmel Catholic who is a graduate of St. Bede School. The selected student will receive a partial scholarship for each year they attend Carmel Catholic High School.
