Prayer Intentions

In 1700, artist Johann Melchior Georg Schmittdner painted the image of Mary Undoer of Knots. The original inspiration for this image of Mary was a meditation of Saint Irenaeus who said, “Eve, by her disobedience, tied the knot of disgrace for the human race; whereas Mary, by her obedience, undid it.”

And so we bring the "knots" of our lives to Mary our Mother, confident that she intercedes for us to her Son with love and care. What "knots" are in your life? Bring them to Mary and also entrust the Carmel community to keep your prayers in our prayers as well!

Answer Required

Your prayer intentions will be remembered by the Carmel Catholic High School Community.

Through your grace, your intercession and your example deliver us from all evil, Our Lady, and untie the knots that prevent us from being united with God, so that we, free from sin and error, may find Him in all things, may have our hearts placed in Him, and may serve Him always in our brothers and sisters. Amen.

~Pope Francis
