Terri Brinkman '20

Terri Brinkman '20 Honored by Congressman as Local STEM Scholar

Terri Brinkman '20 was recently honored by Congressman Brad Schneider for being part of his inaugural class of STEM scholars. Congressman Schneider selected local high school students that are STEM leaders in their school to represent his Illinois tenth district for the 2018-2019 school year.

Fourth Student Achieves Perfect ACT Score This Past School Year

A fourth student has earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36 this past school year. Over the past several months, it has been announced that Ainsley Dean '20, Benjamin Geoffroy ' 20, a third student who wishes to remain anonymous, and now Madeline Kosobucki '20, have all received a top score on their ACT.
NYAN Robotics

N.Y.A.N. Robotics Honored by Mundelein Mayor

Carmel Catholic's World Champion N.Y.A.N. Robotics team was recognized by the mayor of Mundelein on Monday, June 24 for winning the 2019 FIRST Tech Challenge Championship. "N.Y.A.N. Robotics was the first team in the State of Illinois to win the FIRST Tech Challenge Championship, and the team’s performance reflects highly upon its members, Carmel Catholic High School, the Village of Mundelein, and the State of Illinois," read the mayoral proclamation.

Joe Nemmers ’73 Receives First Annual President's Outstanding Service Award

Joe Nemmers ’73, Chair of the Board of Directors, received the first annual President's Outstanding Service Award during an appreciation dinner for Board members, donors and volunteers held in early June. The award recognizes individuals who have contributed to the Carmel Catholic community in ways which far exceed expectations or any generalities.

Carmel Catholic Named 'Project Lead The Way' Distinguished School

"Project Lead The Way is proud to honor and recognize Carmel Catholic High School for empowering students to thrive in an evolving world and achieving exemplary results from its PLTW programs during the 2017-18 year," said a plaque received by the Engineering Department.

Spring Semester Honor Roll Announced

Carmel Catholic congratulates the 703 students who have been named to the honor roll for their excellent academic achievement for the spring semester.
Math Team

Math Team Places 20th at State Math Contest

On May 4, the math team traveled to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to compete in the ICTM State Math Contest. Overall, Carmel placed 20th out of 55 teams. Additionally, four students placed in individual competitions.
N.Y.A.N. Robotics Team

N.Y.A.N. Robotics Team Wins World Championship

Carmel Catholic High School is proud to announce the world championship success of N.Y.A.N. Robotics, a Carmel Catholic High School Varsity Robotics Team, that had a long successful season, advancing from division/regional playoffs and the Illinois state championship, ultimately to the world championship on April 28.

Third Student Achieves Perfect ACT Score This School Year

A third student has earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36 this school year. In November it was announced that Ainsley Dean '20 earned a composite score of 36, and in March it was announced that Benjamin Geoffroy ' 20 also received a perfect score. The third student wishes to remain anonymous.
