For-Credit Courses for Grades 7-8

Math and Engineering courses are offered for students in 7th and 8th grade. Students can receive Carmel Catholic credit for completing a course. These courses are taught by Mr. John Titterton, the Engineering Department Chair and math instructor, and run from August to May.

"Corsairs in the Community" Bus Will Allow for Expanded Christian Service Opportunities

Because of amazing community support during our Corsairs Care campaign in May 2023, we were able to feed over 180,000 children globally and purchase a "Corsairs in the Community" minibus, which will provide transportation support for our students to put our mission into action and expand our Christian Service to others as we are called to do by God.

On March 28, Carmel Catholic Spanish teacher and author Esmeralda Mora was featured on Chicago Tonight: Latino Voices' segment, "It's Increasingly Difficult for Bilingual Parents to Raise Bilingual Children, Research on Chicago Spanish Speakers Finds."

Students Attend Chrism Mass at Holy Name Cathedral

On Tuesday of Holy Week, Carmel Catholic Mission and Ministry sponsored a trip for students to attend the Chrism Mass celebrated by Cardinal Blase Cupich at Holy Name Cathedral. At this Mass, which brings together religious, parishioners, deacons, and priests from across the Archdiocese, the holy oils are blessed by the Cardinal, and priests renew the promises they made on the day of their ordination.

Nurturing Support for Teen Mental Health: Matt Bellace, Ph.D., to Visit Carmel Catholic

At Carmel Catholic High School, we continuously strive to provide our students and parents with the necessary tools to support their well-being. That's why we are thrilled to announce that Matt Bellace, Ph.D., renowned speaker, comedian, and best-selling author, will be joining us on May 2 and 3 to discuss teen mental health. This event will feature separate presentations for parents and students, offering valuable insights and guidance on reducing stress and promoting healthy coping mechanisms.

Carmel Catholic High School Partners with Erika's Lighthouse to Support Teen Mental Health

In the face of alarming statistics regarding teen mental health, Carmel Catholic is taking action to support its students. The school has partnered with Erika's Lighthouse, a program dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources for adolescent depression. Through the Erika's Lighthouse Teen Empowerment Club, Carmel Catholic aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health. The program is helping students navigate these challenges and learn where to find support. Together, they are making a difference and providing hope for a brighter future.
