The Carmel Catholic High School Experience
Catholic schools are committed to teaching students how to navigate the world and how to behave toward others from a Christian perspective. When young adults have regular positive contact with others, they begin to take to heart the principle that puts the welfare of others above their own. At Carmel Catholic High School, we believe this is the most effective way to change the world for the better.
Carmel Catholic High School’s overall program of faith formation is designed to form young adults to live their lives for others in the Gospel spirit of freedom and love.
Each Carmel Catholic High School student is required to participate in the school’s Ministry Program. The program seeks to awaken in each student an openness to serving others and an appreciation for one’s God-given talents. The Ministry Program requires students to donate 20 hours of service to the community each semester. This ministry requirement is graded on a pass/fail basis and it is mandatory for students to complete their ministry work prior to graduation. Ultimately, through our Ministry Program we help our students develop a sense of moral integrity with a vision towards social responsibility.
The Campus Ministry department provides opportunities for the celebration of the faith community through various experiences of worship. We believe that all members should share and minister to each other's needs by responsible participation in the life and mission of the Church through retreats and liturgy.
Our campus ministers strive to enrich the spiritual lives of the community by helping them address their social, psychological, and religious needs. Parents are welcome to join us for morning Mass in our school chapel at 7:40 AM.
